Comments and Description:
This is a 20g sxs hand held cap and ball shotgun, named after the passenger seats (called a Howdah),on top of an elephant while hunting tigers in Africa in the 1800'S. This was a back up weapon incase the hunter missed or merely wounded his prey and it attacked the elephant climbing up it's side to eat the hunter !!!!! Later in the century these were made in cartridge versions, but cap and ball was the original. This weapon is LNIB condition. It comes with 2 ramrods, one which bolts directly to the barrel and the other, which is a bit more functional, stores under the bbl when not in use and is removable for reloading. Also there are 2 bags of wads, one of over powder cards and about a dozen 60 cal roundballs, so you can load either shot or slug loads. There is also Pedersoli info and he original box. Please ask for more pic's if required. I'm asking a minimum of $75.00 less than the lowest price I can find on these guns. I will consider partial trades, pre 1898 antiques or reproduction hand guns, also OBO. Please call between 9-9 or use te zidaho contact system.
