Seller's Comments and Description:
Letting one of my last pocket guns go and my last .25 cal overall - I've never fired this one but picked it up some time ago in trade, as I collected Colt pocket autos quite heavily for about a decade. This very presentable little example from 1922 (per Colt SN lookup) was subject to a fairly well-done re-blue at some point in it's life (hence the relatively low price for the model with original tu-tone magazine) however all rollmarks including SN remain sharp with the exception of the Rampant Pony on rear of slide being relatively faint as shown in one closeup. Slight loss to this bluing primarily in slide serrations, right hand side most noticeable as shown in pics; still relatively slight and overall hard to see from more than a foot or so away.
One original tutone magazine ($85-175 on average for originals when found) is included and in general mechanical inspection the pistol appears to be excellent; safeties (grip and manual) both render trigger non-pullable and the sear and springs appeared in good condition when I last had this one field stripped about a year ago. In dry-fire on a snap cap the hammer and firing pin audibly do function. Never dry-fired in my ownership on an empty chamber as a matter of maintenance and care. In hand racking the magazine feeds new rounds without issue and the ejector snaps out cartridges and snap caps crisply. Bore is clean with crisp lands and grooves; as shown what appear to be original gutta percha grip panels are in overall good plus condition. No snap caps included; those were lost at some point in a recent move. My last cartriges in .25 cal are included, Fiocchi IIRC; the box unfortunately came apart some time ago when carried in my glovebox for a backup Berettan I owned at the time.
A very clean little example of one of Colt's most recognized pre-war handguns at a very reasonable ask of $425 USD cash only to inclue: pistol, one magazine, 49 (NOT 50) rounds of .25 ACP, and vintage suede 'purse pouch' I acquired with the pistol. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or offers; overall just a really nice shooter or lower collector example of an iconic mouse gun. *Sale Pending 10/29*
